Eljen GSF Technical specificities

ELJEN GSF passive biofiltration modules combine two treatment steps resulting in a high quality treated effluent meeting some of the most stringent standards.

Reduction of pollution from Wastewater is achieved from the combined action of a two-step biofiltration process. The first step is taking place within the ELJEN GSF modules while the second step takes place in the compact Specified Sand layer under and on the side of the ELJEN modules. Treated effluent is either discharged in the native soil directly under the Specified Sand layer for subsurface infiltration or, depending on local regulation, can be collected in a watertight liner for surface discharge or further treatment (depending on the sensitivity of the receiving environment).

With a life expectancy often way over 20 years, the ELJEN GSF will most likely be you last septic system ever. Once your ELJEN GSF system will reach the end of its life, since you have protected your natural soil infiltration capacity, only the modules will need replacement making the ELJEN GSF a truly permanent solution.

The ELJEN GSF is approved for residential, commercial, institutional and communal applications in Ontario, Manitoba and Nova-Scotia. In Quebec, the Eljen GSF is available for commercial, institutional and communal applications only with a minimal flow of 3240 liters/day.

ELJEN GSF is the right solution for you.
