Debris baskets are used to retain coarse solids at the inlet of pumping stations in order to protect the pumps.
Made entirely of stainless steel and adaptable to circular or rectangular tanks, they are easy to maintain thanks to their sliding rail system.
Our aluminum or stainless steel ladders are custom-made and can be adapted to circular or rectangular tanks. They are available with a retractable extension arm for safe use.

Your questions, our answers
What is the main role of the DEBRIS BASKET?
Its primary role is to protect submersible pumps by retaining coarse solids, such as wipes, rags, bottles, and rocks, which cause blockages and costly damage to equipment.
What size debris can the basket hold?
It depends on the model and specifications. Baskets are generally designed with openings (perforations or spaced bars) to retain critical-sized solids, often debris measuring 1.5 inches to 2 inches and larger, while allowing sufficient water flow.
Does the basket cause a significant loss of load?
The baskets are designed by engineers to minimize hydraulic head loss when clean or partially loaded. The size of the perforations/spacing is optimized for the station's flow rate.
Can the basket be installed in an existing sump?
In most cases, yes. Basket and rail systems are designed to be mounted and secured in existing sumps, often adapting to the geometry of the chamber.
Is the rail system durable?
Yes, the rail system is designed to be durable because it is intended for repeated use in real-world conditions (wastewater, humidity, debris, frequent handling).
