R&D Technician - Decentralized wastewater treatment
About the job
As an R&D technician, you will hold a cross-functional position combining project support, field testing and commissioning, and continuous process improvement.
Main responsibilities
- Participate in the design and improvement of systems;
- Set up and operate test benches in laboratories or controlled environments;
- Perform performance tests;
- Ensure the calibration and maintenance of equipment;
- Participate in the installation and commissioning of pilot units;
- Perform on-site sampling;
- Monitor system operations (flow rates, loads, purification efficiency) and document performance;
- Identify opportunities for process optimization;
- Collaborate with the engineering team to resolve technical issues;
- Build assemblies and prototypes and install them in the field.
- Participer à la conception et à l’amélioration des systèmes;
Desired profile
- AEC or DEC in water technology, environment, engineering, biotechnology, or a related field, or relevant experience in the desired field;
- 1 to 3 years of relevant experience (an asset);
- Valid driver’s license;
- Independent, methodical, analytical, and thorough;
- Manual skills and resourcefulness (manufacturing, plumbing, electricity), an asset;
- Excellent command of French;
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office Suite;
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, an asset;
- Able to read diagrams, plans, and follow protocols;
- Available for regional travel with some overnight stays.
